Mother of two influencer Carol Acosta (27) choked to death while eating in front of her family in New York.
It has been reported that popular influencer Carol Acosta choked to death while having dinner in front of her family.
The 27-year-old mother of two, known online as Killadamente, reportedly died of a heart attack in New York, according to her younger sister Khatya. The grieving sister announced the star's passing by sharing a selfie they took on a plane, saying, "I love you, my sister, and I will always love you. I thank God for giving me a big-hearted sister like you. Rest in peace, my sister."
She then shared an emotional video message thanking Carol's fans for their support. "Thank you for the support you gave her while she was alive," she added.
Carol was preparing to become a mother for the third time before her sudden death on January 3. She announced her pregnancy in July. Her second baby, Legend, was born in February, and her first child, Reina, was only two years old.
A cousin stated that the family is still waiting for the autopsy results but believes she suffered a heart attack after the unfortunate family dinner. Carol reportedly started "choking and having difficulty breathing" while happily eating. Her condition worsened shortly after, and she experienced "some kind of crisis." The family rushed 27-year-old Carol to the hospital, but doctors could not save her.
Carol moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic when she was 12 and was bullied because of her weight. However, the influencer managed to turn this struggle into humor and gained over 6.6 million followers.
In 2017, she released a song titled "Me Amo y No Me Importa" (I Love Myself and I Don't Care). Earlier this year, the beloved internet personality told her fans that she decided to "embrace God and turn her back on drugs."
