Markovic's agency, Elite Model Management, stated, "Lucy was a bright light. Modeling was one of her dreams, and we are honored to have been with her on this journey. She brought elegance, strength, and beauty to her work. But more importantly, she brought her warmth and joy."

Her partner, who confirmed the sad news on social media, shared, "Lucy was at peace. I, her mother, and my mother were by her side. We ask for your space during this difficult time."

Following the young model's passing, condolences poured in from the fashion world. Donatella Versace, the creative director of Versace, expressed, "I am very saddened to hear this news.
