In the incident that took place in Kartal, S.T. (28), a citizen of Uzbekistan, stabbed her husband Emre Erim during an argument over financial issues. After the incident, she called a taxi station, saying, "My husband is sick, he needs to go to the hospital," and requested a vehicle. Emergency teams, alerted by the taxi driver's report, arrived at the scene and determined that Emre Erim had lost his life.
On April 6th, Sunday, around 21:30, an incident occurred in the apartment on the 3rd floor of a building in the Karlıktepe neighborhood of Kartal; it is claimed that a dispute arose between S.T., a citizen of Uzbekistan, and Emre Erim, a couple who have been married for 4 years, due to financial reasons. The argument quickly escalated into a fight. Enraged, S.T. stabbed her husband Emre Erim with a knife she took from the kitchen, injuring him. Erim collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood.
'MY WIFE IS SICK, SHE NEEDS TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL'
It was learned that S.T., who injured her husband with a knife, called a taxi stand and requested a vehicle, saying, 'My wife is sick, she needs to go to the hospital.' When the taxi driver arrived at the address and went upstairs to help the passenger, whom he thought was sick, he encountered Emre Erim lying in a pool of blood. The taxi driver called the 112 Emergency Call Center for help. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon inspection by the medical teams that arrived at the address, it was determined that Erim, a father of one child, had lost his life. Erim's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institution for examination. His body was received by his family and buried after the prayer held at Kartal Central Mosque.
CAUGHT BY POLICE WHILE TRYING TO ESCAPE
S.T., who was caught while trying to escape during the operations carried out by the police teams affiliated with the Kartal District Police Department, was taken into custody. The suspect S.T. was arrested by the judicial authorities to which she was referred after her procedures at the police station and sent to prison.
'FAMILIES ARE DISAPPEARING'
Neighborhood resident Zöhre Paydaş stated, "I got goosebumps. Did you get angry? Go outside. When your anger subsides, you can come back home. It's a very bad situation; people hear about it in the news. Families are disappearing. May God take the life of the one who gives it. I was very affected, I cried. Look at this! The doors are open, the windows are open, the laundry has been outside for days. It's a bad thing. May God not let anyone experience this."
'THEY SEEMED QUITE HAPPY'
Gürsel Altuntaş, who sells milk in the neighborhood and stated that they were customers of the couple, said, "I knew him as a good person. They used to buy milk from time to time. They seemed quite happy. They were my customers, and they were good, but I was saddened. I didn't expect such a thing from either of them; we were saddened."
