Recently, in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya, two young girls of foreign nationality were seen playing cards and drinking cola on the gravestones in a cemetery located in the city center.
VIDEOS FROM THE CEMETERY SPARKED REACTIONS
The two young girls, who recorded these moments with photos and videos, shared the footage on their social media accounts with the comment, "It was nice to drink cola with someone who died 15 years before it was invented."
After the post, they shared a second video explaining how they filmed the first one, showing that they changed their clothes in the cemetery, which they entered wearing normal attire. Following the spread of these images on other social media accounts, the girls' post received significant backlash.
THEY HAVE LEFT THE COUNTRY
Following the rapid spread of the images on social media accounts and news sites, which caused public outrage, the Antalya Provincial Police Department announced that an investigation had been initiated regarding the matter.
In the statement, it was revealed that the incident in question was carried out by two foreign nationals named E.S. and K.Y. at the Andızlı Cemetery, and it was confirmed that the individuals left Turkey for abroad on March 10, Monday.
The statement also mentioned that legal action had been initiated against the individuals under Article 216 of the Turkish Penal Code for the crime of 'Inciting Hatred and Hostility among the Public.'
