The FBI released a photo of the attacker who killed Charlie Kirk, an activist and supporter of President Trump, stating that the weapon believed to have been used in the attack was recovered yesterday. Meanwhile, the FBI announced that a reward of up to 4 million lira would be given to those who provide information that helps identify and arrest the person or persons responsible for Kirk's murder.

While the investigation into the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump in the U.S., continues, the assailant has not yet been captured. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Utah Department of Public Safety held a press conference regarding the efforts to capture the assailant, during which the FBI released photos of the suspect in the Kirk assassination.

"THE ASSAILANT ENTERED THE CAMPUS VIA THE STAIRS AND CLIMBED TO THE ROOF"

Beau Mason, Commissioner of the Utah Department of Public Safety, stated during the press conference that they managed to track the assailant's movements upon arriving at the campus and just before entering it. Mason said, "The assailant entered the campus via the stairs, climbed to the roof, and moved to a point from which he would open fire. After firing, we were able to observe that he moved to the other side of the building, jumped from the building, fled the campus, and entered a neighborhood."

Mason expressed that they are in contact with local residents, examining security cameras, and trying to find clues, stating, "We have video footage of this individual, but we will not be releasing it at this time. We are working on some technologies to identify this person. If we fail, we will reach out to the media and ask for help in sharing this footage with the public to identify him. However, for now, we are relying on our own capabilities." He emphasized that what happened yesterday is unacceptable for Utah, saying, "We are evaluating every clue we have; the police, every investigator, and every local agency is dedicated to this task. The support from law enforcement has been tremendous. We are mobilizing all our resources for this and will catch the assailant."

"THE INDIVIDUAL IS OF COLLEGE AGE"

Mason stated that the suspect was able to hide very well among the crowd at the university due to his age, saying, "We are not revealing too many details right now; we will announce them soon, but not at this moment. However, it appears that the individual is of college age. We are confident that we can track him."

"WE HAVE RECOVERED THE WEAPON"

During the press conference, Special Agent Robert Bohls, Director of the FBI's Salt Lake City Field Office, stated that FBI agents have been working tirelessly to find the assailant following the tragic death of Charlie Kirk yesterday. Bohls said, "We have recovered the weapon that we believe was used in yesterday's attack. This is a high-powered, bolt-action sniper rifle. It was found in the wooded area where the assailant fled. The FBI laboratory will analyze this weapon. Investigators also collected footprints, palm prints, and forearm prints. These will also be examined."

Bohls expressed that the motive for the attack is unknown, stating, "All clues and tips are being thoroughly investigated. As of this morning, we have received over 130 tips. We thank our public for this. The FBI has directed all its resources to this investigation."
