Luana Alonso, the dazzling Olympic swimmer, broke her silence regarding the allegations of being expelled from the athlete village due to 'inappropriate behavior'.

The Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso, after the news of being expelled from the Olympic village, stated that she was a victim of 'lies' and 'misinformation'.

Alonso was accused of distracting other competitors by socializing and wearing revealing clothes, creating an 'inappropriate atmosphere' according to officials.

However, Alonso said in her Instagram statement: "I wanted to clarify that I was not expelled or kicked out from anywhere, please stop spreading false information. I don't want to make any further statements, but I won't let the lies affect me either." Alonso also added a photo of herself enjoying a drink at sunset.

The stunning 20-year-old blonde, who failed to qualify for the 100-meter butterfly finals, was seen wandering around in her own choice of clothes instead of the official uniforms provided by the Paraguay team officials.

She was also seen socializing with other athletes and was said to have distracted her teammates who were still competing in the Games.

Alonso even stayed at a chic hotel called Hotel Pastel near the Victory Team before leaving France and visited many of the city's shops and restaurants, sharing photos with her 600,000 followers on social media.

After hearing that Alonso's behavior became 'distracting', the Paraguay Olympic Committee officials decided to ban her from mingling with other team members.

In the statement announcing Alonso's departure, the President of the Paraguay Olympic Committee, Larissa Schaerer, said: "Her presence creates an inappropriate atmosphere within the Paraguay Team. We thank her for following the instructions, as she did not stay overnight at the Athlete Village by her own choice."

After announcing her retirement from swimming when she failed to reach the semi-finals in the pool, Alonso returned to the United States where she pursued a political science education.

However, before leaving France, she stayed at the stylish Hotel Pastel near the Victory Team and visited many of the city's shops and museums.

Alonso also had the opportunity to watch tennis heroes from the Roland Garros stands and witnessed Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Carlos Alcaraz in action.

In her other Instagram posts, the swimmer was seen in front of the Eiffel Tower and the Hotel des Invalides museum, where Napoleon's tomb is located.

Alonso announced her retirement from swimming without informing Olympic officials in advance and claimed that she made this decision before flying to France.

"Swimming: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to dream, teaching me to fight, to try, to have perseverance, sacrifice, discipline, and more," she said.

"I gave you a part of my life, and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world because I had the most beautiful experiences of my life, you gave me thousands of happiness, friends from other countries that I will always carry in my heart, and unique opportunities."

"This is not a farewell, see you soon."
