A fight broke out among minibus drivers in Büyükçekmece over the issue of "picking up passengers." A minibus driver, who was struck on the head with a baseball bat, collapsed minutes later and died in the hospital to which he was taken.
On February 2nd, Sunday, a horror occurred in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Büyükçekmece district in Istanbul. A dispute arose between Çağlar U. (40) and Nihat Baysal (61) over the issue of "picking up passengers" while Çağlar U. was transporting passengers to nearby cities by minibus. The argument quickly escalated into a fight, during which Çağlar U. struck Baysal on the head with a baseball bat he took from his vehicle.
COLLAPSED MINUTES LATER AND PASSED AWAY
The fight ended with the intervention of other citizens nearby. Minutes after the incident, Nihat Baysal, who entered the shop, collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Despite all the interventions made here, Baysal passed away.
ARRESTED
Following a tip-off, Çağlar U. was detained by the teams of the Public Order Bureau of the Büyükçekmece District Police Department and was arrested by the court to which he was brought.
