FREIBURG DEFEATS BRAGA AT HOME
German side Freiburg, who lost the first leg 2-1 away to Sporting Braga, advanced to the final by winning 3-1 at home. The goals that secured the victory for the German team were scored by Lukas Kübler in the 19th and 72nd minutes and Johan Manzambi in the 41st minute. The Portuguese side's only goal was scored by Pau Victor in the 79th minute.
ASTON VILLA DOMINATES
In the other match of the night, Aston Villa, who lost the first leg 1-0 to Nottingham Forest, became the other finalist by defeating their opponent 4-0 in the return leg. The goals that brought victory to the home side were scored by Ollie Watkins in the 36th minute, Emi Buendia (from a penalty) in the 58th minute, and John McGinn in the 77th and 80th minutes.
