The Follow-up, Coordination and Implementation Board, which will monitor the Turkey Without Terrorism process and the implementation of the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, is holding its first meeting. During the meeting chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, sub-commissions related to the process and inter-institutional coordination matters are being discussed.
The Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, accepted with 467 votes in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force.
FIRST MEETING
The Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, which will follow the Terror-Free Turkey process, also started its activities within the scope of the law. The Committee met for the first time at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
ROADMAP OF THE PROCESS ON THE TABLE
The main agenda of the Committee's first meeting will be the process of dissolution and disarmament of the terrorist organization. A comprehensive evaluation will be made regarding the reflections of the process on the field and its close monitoring by security units, and sub-commissions to be established in line with needs will be discussed.
The Committee will follow the process until the dissolution of the PKK/KCK and affiliated formations and the delivery of all weapons and ammunition under the control of the terrorist organization. Efforts will be carried out with full coordination between institutions to determine that the weapons have been relinquished irreversibly. A National Security Council decision will be awaited for confirmation.
