Within the scope of the Terror-Free Türkiye process, the Monitoring, Coordination and Implementation Board, established to follow the implementation of the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, held its first meeting. The meeting, which began during daytime hours, was chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and issues regarding sub-commissions related to the process and inter-institutional coordination were discussed. It was decided to establish 4 sub-commissions at the meeting.
The Board of Monitoring and Evaluation, established under the Law on Strengthening National Solidarity and Social Cohesion, convened.
FIRST MEETING CONCLUDED
The first meeting, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz at the Presidential Complex, was attended by Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, MIT Director İbrahim Kalın, Presidential Secretary General Hakkı Susmaz, and MGK Secretary General Okay Memiş.
ROADMAP OF THE PROCESS ON THE AGENDA
The main agenda of the Board's first meeting was the process of disbandment and disarmament of the terrorist organization. Comprehensive assessments regarding the reflections of the process on the field and its close monitoring by security units were made, and sub-commissions to be established in line with needs were discussed.
The Board will monitor the process until the dissolution of the PKK/KCK and affiliated formations and the delivery of all weapons and ammunition under the control of the terrorist organization. Efforts will be carried out with full inter-institutional coordination to determine that the weapons have been irreversibly abandoned. A National Security Council decision will be awaited for verification.
