The first message from Hezbollah's new leader Naim Qassem: We will fight against Israel.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed by the Israeli army in Beirut in September. After Nasrallah's death, there was curiosity about who would take over the organization. Hezbollah announced that Naim Qassem, Nasrallah's deputy, was appointed as the new leader.

Hezbollah's new leader Naim Qassem made his statements in front of the cameras for the first time.

"I WILL FOLLOW NASRALLAH"

Qassem stated, "We will fight against Israel; our spirit of resistance will not fade." He expressed that the war plans would continue, saying, "My path is the path of Nasrallah; I will follow him."

"I thank Hezbollah for giving me this responsibility, which is a heavy burden and a sign of trust; we will carry the trust. Martyr Commander Yahya Al-Sinwar is a symbol of heroism and resistance for the people of Palestine and the free world, and he will always remain so.

"THE BLOOD OF OUR MARTYR LEADERS WILL NOT BE IN VAIN"

The blood of our martyr leaders will not be in vain. We are determined to move forward on this path. Since 2006, Israel has attacked Lebanon every day. What drove Israel out of Lebanon in 2006 was not international institutions but resistance.

We are facing a major project that Israel is implementing in the region. This is a war of resistance against global powers, not limited to Lebanon and Gaza.

They are using all kinds of brutality and destruction techniques to realize the project. We must confront this and not just watch. The resistance in Gaza and Lebanon is a saga of pride and will shape the future of our generations."
