As part of the investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu and Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık were taken into custody yesterday morning following a search at Çalık's home.
FIRST MESSAGE FROM ÇALIK Mehmet Murat Çalık, the detained Mayor of Beylikdüzü, had a statement made by his lawyer Melih Koçhan regarding his client's situation. Koçhan stated that he was able to meet with Çalık at 5:00 PM, that his health and morale were good, and that he wanted his colleagues to continue municipal services with the same determination without any interruption.
