The Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem İmamoğlu, was arrested in the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and sent to Silivri Prison.
SUSPENDED FROM OFFICE
Due to corruption, Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was sent to Silivri Prison, was also suspended from his position as the Mayor of IMM for charges of establishing and managing a criminal organization, accepting bribes, extortion, unlawfully recording personal data, and interfering with a tender.
FOOTAGE OF HIS ENTRY TO SILIVRI EMERGED
Footage of Ekrem İmamoğlu's entry into Silivri Marmara Prison has also emerged. According to the news in Patronlar Dünyası, Ekrem İmamoğlu was brought to the prison around 4:00 PM after the court session.
HIS MENU HAS ALSO BEEN REVEALED
It has been learned that on his first evening in prison, İmamoğlu had lentil soup, oven-baked sauced chicken döner, and bulgur pilaf with vermicelli, along with ayran. Today's menu reportedly includes boiled meat, rice pilaf with vermicelli, cheese, dates, dried apricots, revani dessert, and ayran.
