As part of the investigation, 4 of the 12 suspects in custody were arrested. In the indictment prepared by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that Salim Güran, Narin's uncle, whose vehicle contained DNA and hair samples belonging to Narin, along with her mother Yüksel Güran and her brother Enes Güran, were detained. It was also noted that neighbors Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to transporting the body to the riverbed after being taken into custody, were found to have been in the same house at the time of the incident according to HTS and base station records. They are being charged with 'intentional murder of a child in participation' and aggravated life imprisonment is being sought. IMAGES OF HIS STATEMENT TO THE GENDARMERIE HAVE EMERGEDImages of Nevzat Bahtiyar calmly explaining how he placed Narin in the sack during his statement to the gendarmerie have also emerged. In the footage, Bahtiyar says, "I went towards the river, I chose a suitable place to leave the body. I took the sack in my hand. The whole body fit into the sack, but the foot was a bit difficult to get in, I pushed it. I don't remember if her foot was cut off. I didn't pay attention in that panic. "I LEFT A LARGE STONE ON TOP"I went down to the place where the child was found and looked for a rope. When I couldn't find one, I took the rope from the child's bag and tied the mouth of the sack with it. I left it in a place that wasn't very deep, hoping someone might come and see it. I left a large stone on top," he stated. "NARIN HAD A BAG ON HER, SHE WAS WEARING RED SLIPPERS"Additionally, images of the crime scene investigation conducted with Nevzat Bahtiyar on September 9 have also been accessed. In the footage, Bahtiyar, who was brought to the neighborhood with his hands handcuffed by gendarmerie personnel, described to the gendarmerie and the investigating prosecutor where and how he first received Narin's lifeless body from Salim Güran. Bahtiyar stated that Narin's lifeless body was in the front passenger seat of Salim Güran's vehicle and that Salim Güran said, "Lose this." He added, "You know what will happen to your family if you don't lose it." I had no choice. He said he would give 200,000 TL. We took it out of the blanket. I took the sack from the trunk of my car. We put it in the sack together. Narin had a bag on her. She was wearing red slippers. We placed it under the back seat of my car. He said to take it there, pointing to the river," he said. Later, Bahtiyar described how he carried Narin's lifeless body to the riverbed. He stated that he walked without dropping Narin's lifeless body, saying, "I placed it on the ground. I left a stone on top."
