The footage of Rojin Kabaiş two days before her disappearance has emerged.

Images of university student Rojin Kabaiş (21), whose lifeless body was found 18 days after she went missing in Van, emerged before she was dropped off at the dormitory by her father on September 25.

Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Child Development Department of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), went to the dormitory from Diyarbakır on September 25. After leaving the dormitory on September 27, Kabaiş did not return. Friends who could not reach Rojin Kabaiş by phone reported her missing to the police around 12:00 on September 28. It was determined that Rojin Kabaiş had said she would go to collect pebbles at the Van Lake shore around 18:30 on September 27 and had suggested going together to a friend who declined. On September 28, Rojin's mobile phone, headphones, cake, and water were found at the Van Lake shore. Rojin, who told her mother on the phone that she would go to the market to buy coffee, water, and cake, prompted the police, Coast Guard, AFAD, and Metropolitan Municipality fire teams to initiate a search operation.

HER LIFLESS BODY WAS FOUND 18 DAYS LATER

On the 18th day of the search efforts, Rojin Kabaiş's lifeless body was found by Mehmet Emin Ankay (60), who had come to water his garden in the rural Mollakasım neighborhood of Tuşba district, approximately 24 kilometers away from the YYÜ coast. Rojin Kabaiş's body was buried in the Yeniköy Cemetery in the Bağlar district of her hometown Diyarbakır after about 7 hours of autopsy procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institution.

CAUSE OF DEATH: DROWNING

Nearly 100 samples taken from Kabaiş were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution during the autopsy procedures. The results of the examination were sent to the Van Forensic Medicine Institution. The Van Bar Association Women's Rights Center made a statement regarding the autopsy report received from the Forensic Medicine Institution about Rojin Kabaiş. The statement indicated that the cause of Rojin Kabaiş's death was drowning in the findings section of the report.

HER LAST IMAGES EMERGED

Images of Rojin before she was dropped off at the dormitory by her father on September 25 have emerged. In the footage, the father and daughter are seen walking together while also capturing images of their surroundings and chatting. While eating chickpeas together, in their conversation in Kurdish, Nizamettin Kabaiş asks for plenty of videos to be taken and tells Rojin to sit down so he can take her picture. Rojin expresses that the place they are in is not suitable and that the view on the other side is more beautiful, showing the Van Lake.
