A landslide in the Çayeli district of Rize resulted in the death of one person and injuries to four others. Footage of the horrifying incident has emerged.

Images of the landslide incident in Rize, where 1 person lost their life and 4 others were injured, have emerged.

The retaining wall located at the back of the 7-story buildings side by side in the Eskipazar neighborhood of the Çayeli district collapsed around 06:30 in the morning due to heavy rainfall.

1 PERSON LOST THEIR LIFE, 4 OTHERS WERE INJURED

The collapsed retaining wall damaged a building and entered the apartment where Yakup Bayraktar was living with his family on the 1st floor. Bayraktar lost his life under the debris of the wall and soil, while 4 other family members were injured.
