Images have emerged showing the moments when Murat Ongun, the Chairman of the Board of Media Inc., was detained as part of the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. The footage captures the moment when a police officer shows Ongun the detention and search warrant as he opens the door.
The ongoing procedures for the 87 suspects detained as part of two separate investigations conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding allegations of terrorism and corruption against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and President Ekrem İmamoğlu are continuing at the police station.

Images of the moments when Murat Ongun, advisor to İmamoğlu and Chairman of the Board of IMM Media Inc., was detained have emerged. The footage shows a police officer showing the detention and search warrant to Ongun, who opened the door.
WHAT HAPPENED?
An investigation was initiated against IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu and 99 suspects for the crimes of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "embezzlement," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender." Additionally, an investigation was launched against İmamoğlu, IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, among 7 suspects, for the crime of "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."
Among those detained along with İmamoğlu as part of the investigation was Murat Ongun, Chairman of the Board of IMM Media Inc. and İmamoğlu's press advisor. Most recently, Ongun's assets were seized.
