In a statement from the yellow-red club, it was expressed, "We have learned with deep sorrow that former athlete of Galatasaray Rowing Branch, Mehmet Cem Doğan, his wife, and daughter have passed away as a result of the fire that broke out at the hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Center. We wish God's mercy upon Mehmet Cem Doğan, his wife, and daughter; and we extend our condolences to their relatives, loved ones, and our community."



WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FIRE DISASTER



A fire broke out for an undetermined reason at a hotel located at the summit of Köroğlu Mountains in Bolu. As the flames quickly engulfed the hotel, numerous fire brigades, AFAD, UMKE, and health teams, along with helicopters, were dispatched to the area from the city center, districts, and surrounding provinces upon notification. Cooling efforts continue in the area where the fire, which took approximately 10 hours to bring under control, occurred. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and AFAD President Okay Memiş also arrived in the region.

After the fire at the hotel in Bolu, the ministers who arrived in the area shared the latest developments with the public. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, speaking in front of the cameras, announced that the number of people who lost their lives in the fire at the ski center hotel has risen to 66. Health Minister Memişoğlu, who reported that 51 people were injured, stated, "One of the injured is in critical condition, and 17 have been discharged."
