A new development has occurred in the investigation into transactions in the capital markets. Former Chairman of the Capital Markets Board (CMB) İbrahim Ömer Gönül and İlyas Kaya, the spouse of former Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, were released under judicial control measures consisting of a ban on leaving the country and an obligation to sign in. The two individuals had come to the Istanbul Courthouse to testify as suspects for the second time within the scope of the investigation.
In the fund investigation, a ruling has been issued regarding former SPK Chairman İbrahim Ömer Gönül and İlyas Kaya. The two individuals, whose statements were taken again at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, were released by a court decision.
TWO INDIVIDUALS RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL CONDITIONS
As part of the investigation into capital market transactions, former SPK Chairman İbrahim Ömer Gönül was referred to the court with a request for judicial control after his statement proceedings were completed. The court decided to impose a signing obligation and a travel ban abroad on Gönül. Gönül, who was released under judicial control conditions, left the courthouse after his proceedings were completed.
A decision in the same direction was also made regarding İlyas Kaya, the spouse of former Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, who was referred to the court as part of the investigation. Kaya was released with judicial control measures in the form of a "travel ban abroad" and "signing" requirement. Thus, no arrest decision was made regarding the two individuals whose statements were taken again in the investigation. However, due to the judicial control measures, the legal process against them continues.
