The first ceremony of the celebrations of the 101st anniversary of the Great Victory was held at Anıtkabir. The state officials, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, visited Anıtkabir to commemorate the Victory Day and the Turkish Armed Forces Day. In the note he wrote in the Special Book of Anıtkabir, President Erdoğan said, "Dear Atatürk, today we enthusiastically and proudly celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the Great Victory, which solidifies our presence in Anatolia, our eternal homeland, and ensures our independence as a nation. With this victory that we achieved despite all the impossibilities, we not only added a new link to the chain of victories in our glorious history, but also opened the way to the proclamation of the Republic. We are stepping towards our goal of raising the Republic of Turkey, which is the result of great faith, unwavering belief, and challenging struggles, above the level of contemporary civilizations."
