The 'Best Film Award' in the National Feature Film Competition of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival was won by Nadim Güç's film 'Mukadderat'. Necmi Sancak's film 'Ayşe' made a significant impact on the night by winning 4 awards, while the Best Actress Award was given to Binnur Kaya and Nur Sürer. The Best Actor award in the National Feature Film Competition was awarded to Nejat İşler for his role in the film Evcilik. Messages against femicides and violence against women were also conveyed during the ceremony.

The closing ceremony of the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, which is Turkey's longest-running film festival organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, was held at the Cam Piramit. Those who received awards at the ceremony experienced great joy. For the first time this year, the first awards were given to films in the 'Student Films from Cinema Schools' category.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Jury President of the National Feature Film Competition, Ferzan Özpetek, stated that he participated in the Golden Orange Film Festival in 1997. Özpetek said, "I came to Antalya in 1997 with the film Hamam. It participated in the Cannes Film Festival and then came to Antalya. I participated in the competition here. There were very difficult and lonely days here. I didn't think I would win an award. They said, 'This film is very difficult against morality.' Antalya was very different in 1997. I had won Best Film and Best Director at that time. I was shocked," he said. Özpetek also mentioned that a lot has been said and discussed about women, stating, "Thousands of women have been killed. If I ask for a minute of applause or silence for them. Each of us needs to take responsibility for this. What is important is a cultural change. Cinema is an important element here," he said.

NATIONAL FEATURE FILM AWARDS

The Best Film award in the National Feature Film Competition was given to Mukadderat. The cast of the film took the stage to receive the award. After receiving the award, actress Nur Sürer said in her speech, "Keep your hands off children and women. Keep your hands off trees and animals. We are a country that fits a pain into the calendar pages every day." The Jury Special Award was given to the film Gülizar directed by Belkıs Bayrak. Bayrak said, "A lot has been said about women. We are a talkative society, and I think we do not talk about our feelings. I dedicate this to the women of my country, to the Palestinian women who do not protect their own country and borders."

The Best First Film Award was given to the film Ayşe directed by Necmi Sancak. Necmi Sancak took the stage to receive the award with his cousin, actor Rıdvan Sancak, who has Down syndrome. The Best Director award in the National Feature Film Competition was awarded to director Necmi Sancak for the film Ayşe. Sancak, who has taken the stage many times to receive awards, said, "I don't know what to say, thank you to everyone."

The Cahide Sonku Award was received by the costume designer of the film Gülizar, Yağmur Ergül. The Best Screenplay Award in the National Feature Film Competition was given to the film Evcilik directed by Ümit Ünal. After receiving the award, Sürer said, "I receive this award for all my director friends who have touched my 45-year acting journey and actually for our master Yılmaz Güney, who passed away in Paris 40 years ago and whose value has been diminished."

Binnur Kaya said, "It is very honorable to share this award with Nur Sürer. I want to receive it for all the women who dedicate their lives to their loved ones and lose them in plain sight. Women asked for help, they shouted, and they made their voices heard. It was seen. Now is not the time to talk, it is time for action. We expect those who need to do what needs to be done. The Istanbul Convention protects women, children, families, and men. I wish we could have supported it."
