ENTERED WORKPLACES AND HARASSED MALE EMPLOYEES
In Istanbul, a woman who entered stores under the pretext of selling products and harassed male employees was taken into custody as part of an investigation launched following the incidents.
In security camera footage shared on social media, moments were captured where the suspect approached male employees and attempted to make physical contact, while the employees reacted by saying "Don't touch me" and "Can you get out?"
FIRST INCIDENT EMERGED IN ÜMRANİYE
After the first incident emerged in Ümraniye, it was observed that the same woman went to workplaces in different districts of Istanbul and engaged in similar behavior.
The suspect would enter workplaces saying "I'm a student, I sell cologne to earn my allowance," and after communicating with employees, would attempt to make physical contact.
LASTLY SEEN IN İKİTELLİ
The suspect was last seen going to a business in İkitelli, where she also harassed a male employee. In the images captured on security camera, the employee was seen trying to maintain distance, while the suspect left the workplace after insulting him.
According to the statements of the victimized shopkeepers, the woman would enter the store saying she wanted to sell products, and when her request was rejected, she would display aggressive behavior. It was also stated that in some workplaces, she walked toward employees, made severe insults, and tried to force her way inside.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND REFERRED TO COURTHOUSE
The procedures at the police station for 30-year-old Z.E., who was taken into custody by police teams, have been completed. The suspect was referred to the courthouse today after the procedures.
