MINISTER TUNÇ: TURKEY WILL NOT TOLERATE BABY DEATHS
In the investigation regarding the gang that caused the deaths by transferring baby emergency patients to the newborn units of private hospitals they had previously agreed upon, the licenses of the hospitals mentioned in the investigation were revoked one by one. Speaking about the 'Newborn gang' investigation, Minister Tunç stated, "The Republic of Turkey does not tolerate baby deaths in either public or private hospitals." Tunç also added, "Yesterday, our President received us along with our Minister of Health. He conveyed the determination that whatever is necessary should be done if there is a situation that causes the death of babies."
TAPE RECORDINGS ARE HAUNTING
The indictment prepared for 47 suspects, 22 of whom are detained, included tape recordings related to 197 criminal acts. The statements in the conversations were chilling. In the 1399-page indictment prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 197 criminal acts were listed. Tape recordings containing the suspects' phone conversations and evaluations related to these acts were also included in the indictment.
