The hospital mentioned in the newborn gang investigation was attacked by citizens.

20.10.2024 13:20

The unbelievable scandal of the newborn gang abandoning babies to death one by one for money has deeply shaken Turkey's agenda. As the licenses of the hospitals involved in this chilling incident are being revoked one by one, this development has not quelled the anger of the citizens. A large number of people pelted Bağcılar Medilife Health Services Hospital, mentioned in the investigation, with stones, shattering its windows.

In order to receive 8,000 lira daily from SGK, the licenses of 10 hospitals mentioned in the investigation regarding the Newborn gang, which caused the deaths of babies by keeping them in intensive care, have been revoked.

HOSPITALS WITH REVOKED LICENSES

Following the aforementioned letter, the licenses of Özel Avcılar Hospital, Özel TRG Hospitalist Hospital, Özel Birinci Hospital, Özel Güney Hospital, Özel Bağcılar Medilife Hospital, Özel Beylikdüzü Medilife Hospital, Özel Reyap Istanbul Hospital, Özel Şafak Hospital Bağcılar, Özel Silivri Kolan Hospital, and Çorlu Reyap Hospital have been revoked.

CITIZENS' ANGER CONTINUES

However, the revocation of the licenses of the 10 hospitals did not quell the anger of the citizens. A large group attacked Bağcılar Medilife Health Services Hospital, which was mentioned in the investigation. In the footage broadcasted by Ekol TV, the windows of the hospital were seen to be broken.

DISCHARGE AND TRANSFER PROCEDURES FOR PATIENTS CONTINUE

On the other hand, the discharge and transfer procedures for patients at Özel Beylikdüzü Medilife Hospital, which was mentioned in the investigation, are ongoing. Some adult patients, claiming they would be discharged within a few days and that they were healthy, left the hospital with their families and went home. For patients still undergoing treatment, transfer procedures are continuing with ambulances affiliated with the Ministry of Health. "Newborn ambulances," which include incubators, are also on duty for the babies among the patients.
