While teams were mobilized for a person in a bathrobe who went out onto the balcony of a hotel in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, the individual soon gave up the balcony and returned to their room.
A person in a bathrobe on the sixth-floor balcony of a hotel in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, triggered a response from teams due to a suspected suicide attempt. A large number of police, health, and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
The incident occurred at a hotel in Minsk. A person in a bathrobe acted as if they were preparing to jump by going behind the balcony railing on the sixth floor. Upon reporting the situation, police, ambulances, and rescue teams were directed to the area.
LIFE CUBE SET UP
Teams placed an inflatable rescue mattress known as a "life cube" in front of the building in case of a possible jump. While security measures were increased at the scene, nearby citizens were evacuated from the area. It was learned that around 4:30 PM, the person was given a phone and spoke with someone. During this time, while hotel staff evacuated the building, teams continued to wait on the lower floor.
RETURNED TO HIS ROOM
After about half an hour of tension, the person returned from the balcony to their room around 5:00 PM. It was reported that police, health, and rescue teams remained on standby at the scene for a while longer.
