For retirees whose 5.56 percent raise difference has been finalized with July, August, and September data, the 6-month raise rate is calculated as 11.11 percent according to the Central Bank expectation survey, and with this increase, the lowest pension is expected to rise to 26,168 TL.

With the announcement of the inflation data for the first 3 months of the second half of the year, the first figures regarding the January 2027 increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur pensioners have emerged. After the 5.56 percent inflation difference that occurred in the period covering July, August, and September, while attention turned to the remaining 3 months of the year, the possible January increase rate was calculated according to the results of the Central Bank Market Participants Survey.

THE 5.56 PERCENT INFLATION DIFFERENCE FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED

According to official data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the consumer price index increased by 5.56 percent in the 3-month period covering July, August, and September. With this development, pensioners have already pocketed the right to a 3-month increase following the increase in the first half of the year.

ACCORDING TO MARKET EXPECTATIONS, THE 6-MONTH INCREASE RATE IS 11.11 PERCENT

Expectations for the remaining October, November, and December were shaped by the Central Bank Market Participants Survey. With the year-end consumer inflation expectation announced as 29.63 percent, it was calculated that the total 6-month inflation rate covering the July-December period would be 11.11 percent.

THE MINIMUM PENSION SALARY CALCULATION IS CHANGING

In line with market expectations, if the increase rate materializes at 11.11 percent, this increase will also be directly reflected in the base salary. The minimum pension salary, currently applied as 23,552 TL, will rise by 2,616 TL with the 11.11 percent increase and reach 26,168 TL. The final decision regarding the legal regulation on the matter and the base salary threshold will become clear with the announcement of December inflation data.
