In a statement made by the DEM Party, it was said, "The intensive care treatment of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the İmralı Delegation, is ongoing in the hospital. Our party continues to wait hopefully in the hospital with all its committees. While our party shows great sensitivity, unfortunately, speculative news is also being spread. The information that a new name will replace Önder is not true."
Democratic Regions Party (DEM) member Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who suffered a heart attack at his home in Istanbul and underwent a 12-hour operation following an aortic rupture, is still receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
"OUR PARTY CONTINUES TO WAIT HOPEFULLY AT THE HOSPITAL"
In a statement regarding Önder's current condition, it was stated, "The intensive care treatment of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the Imralı Delegation, is ongoing at the hospital. Our party continues to wait hopefully at the hospital with all its committees, and we believe that our friend Sırrı Süreyya Önder will recover as soon as possible and continue from where he left off."
RESPONSE TO THE CONTROVERSIAL CLAIM
In response to claims that another name would be included in the Imralı delegation instead of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, the statement said, "While our party is showing great sensitivity on this issue, unfortunately, speculative news that is not based on real information is also spreading. Firstly, the information that a new name will replace Sırrı Süreyya Önder in the Imralı Delegation of the DEM Party is not true. Our party has not taken this issue into its agenda for discussion; our party's top priority is the health of our comrade Sırrı Süreyya Önder."
"OUR GROUP VICE CHAIRS WILL MEET WITH THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE"
The continuation of the DEM Party's statement is as follows; "Additionally, the meeting with the Minister of Justice regarding Sırrı Süreyya Önder's health issue and due to the hospital's intensive care situation will be conducted by our Group Vice Chairs."
