In an operation against the global terrorist organization ISIS, a terrorist who was active as a 'bomber' in the organization's so-called Ninawa (Mosul) Region was captured in Istanbul. The cell leader, who was revealed during cross-examination, was arrested by the court to which he was brought.

The Istanbul Police Department's Intelligence Branch and the Counter-Terrorism Unit (TEM), which received intelligence about the presence of ISIS-related elements in the city, closely monitored the suspects step by step. Following the technical and physical surveillance conducted by the police teams, the operation resulted in the capture and detention of a terrorist identified as O.M., who was found to have been involved in the production of explosives in the Mosul region of Iraq in 2016.
ARRESTED
O.M., who was taken into custody, was interrogated by the TEM teams. It was reported that the suspect was arrested by the court after the completion of the interrogation.
