Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz made statements during his visit to the area occupied by the Israeli army on Mount Hermon (Jebel al-Sheikh) yesterday.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, Katz stated, "(Syrian President Ahmed Shara) Culani will see every morning when he opens his eyes in the presidential palace in Damascus that the Israeli army is watching him from the summit of Hermon, and he will remember that we are here to protect the residents of the Golan and Galilee from his and his jihadist friends' threats in the entire security zone of southern Syria."
"WE ARE READY TO STAY INDEFINITELY"
Referring to the Israeli occupation in Syria, Katz emphasized that Israel is "ready to stay indefinitely" here, noting that the Israeli army has carried out airstrikes on approximately 40 targets in the region to ensure that there are no armed elements in southern Syria.
"WE WILL TAKE ACTION TO ELIMINATE THREATS AGAINST THE DRUZE"
Katz, who continues efforts to draw the Druze in Syria to Israel's side, stated, "We will take action to eliminate any threat against the Druze."
