The sharp fluctuation in the fuel market continues. After last night's 2.33 TL reduction in diesel, a 2.99 TL increase is expected as of midnight tonight.
The rapid change in fuel prices has once again put vehicle owners in a difficult situation. The 2.33 TL discount on diesel, which was applied last night and reflected directly at the pump without being caught up in the sliding scale system, brought prices below 70 TL for the first time in a long while. However, this decline lasted only one day.
PRICE HIKE TAKES EFFECT TONIGHT
According to information obtained from industry sources, as of 00:01 on the night connecting April 24 to April 25, 2026, the liter price of diesel is expected to increase by 2.99 TL. The entire increase is projected to be reflected directly in pump prices.
PRICES WILL RISE ABOVE 70 TL AGAIN
Diesel prices, which fell below 70 TL with yesterday's discount, will rise above this level again with the expected increase. Thus, the advantage gained from the discount will be eliminated in a short time. No price change is currently expected for gasoline.
GLOBAL TENSIONS TRIGGER PRICES
The fluctuation in fuel prices is driven by exchange rate movements and developments in the global oil market. In particular, rising tensions between the US and Iran and disruptions to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz are putting upward pressure on oil prices.
