With TÜİK's announcement of May data, the increase rates for housing and workplace rents have been determined. The maximum rental increase rate, calculated based on the 12-month average inflation, has been revealed. With the announced inflation data, the maximum increase rate to be applied to homes and workplaces in June has been calculated as 32.24 percent.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) published the 'Consumer Price Index, May 2026 (CPI)' bulletin. According to this, inflation increased by 1.71% monthly and 32.61% annually in May. With the announced data, the June rent increase rate was also revealed.
Accordingly, the rent increase rate calculated based on the 12-month average of the CPI was 32.24%.
