Upon receiving a report of "My brother has been kidnapped" in Istanbul, police teams sprang into action and rescued businessman M.Ö. from the house where he was being held captive within hours. Three suspects found in the house were taken into custody. During searches conducted at the location, a quantity of drugs was seized, and the suspects, who stated in their testimonies that they were trying to collect debts, were arrested and sent to prison.

In the incident that occurred on Monday, February 17, at around 15:20 in Istanbul, C.Ö., who called the police, said, "My brother had a debt. He last met with his creditors in Ortaköy. They video-called me on the phone. They said, 'You have until 17:00. Send 1 million 300 thousand lira'." C.Ö. stated that he was worried about his brother's life and asked the police for help.

A comprehensive investigation was launched regarding the incident by the Robbery Bureau and Beşiktaş District Police Department teams. Racing against time, the teams identified the address of the house where the kidnapped M.Ö. went in Ortaköy. After it was determined that the victim was held against his will after entering the apartment, the operation was initiated. In the operation carried out by the Robbery Bureau teams, M.Ö., who was held against his will in the house, was rescued. The suspects found in the house, M.E.D. (44), İ.P. (40), and Z.Y. (43) were detained. During the searches conducted in the house, 44 grams of methamphetamine, a quantity of cocaine, a precision scale, and 1 blank-firing pistol were seized.

In the police investigation, it was determined that M.Ö. borrowed money to pay off his brother's debt, and when he could not pay his debt, he was forcibly detained by the suspects while trying to borrow money from another person. It was learned that the suspects interrogated at the Robbery Bureau claimed that they were only trying to collect their debts from M.Ö. It was also revealed that Z.Y., one of the suspects, was wanted for another crime with a prison sentence of 11 years, 7 months, and 10 days. The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse, were arrested and sent to prison.
