The Kremlin accidentally published an unedited version of Vladimir Putin's International Women's Day message; the footage showed Putin coughing for about 30 seconds and moments when he wanted to retake the recording.
A previously unedited section of Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech prepared for International Women's Day was accidentally published. The release of raw footage instead of the edited version that the Kremlin was supposed to share drew attention.
COUGHED FOR 30 SECONDS
In the footage circulating on social media, moments were captured where Putin coughed for about 30 seconds during his speech and then requested that the recording be redone. The video showed Putin stopping the recording and asking for that part of the speech to be recorded again.
VIDEO LEAKED ON THE INTERNET BECAME A TOPIC
Normally, the Kremlin was planning to publish the edited and final version of the speech. However, the mistakenly shared footage included the unedited part of the speech, which quickly became a topic of discussion.
Following the incident, as the footage spread rapidly on social media, it became a matter of curiosity whether the Kremlin would make an official statement regarding the error in the sharing process.
