Images have emerged from the landslide disaster in Samsun, where a father and his two children lost their lives, while the mother was rescued with injuries.

The incident occurred at 23:20 in the Toptepe neighborhood of the Canik district, at a gas station next to the Lovelet Shopping Mall. Soil and rock fragments broke off from the mountain and fell onto the car wash section of the gas station. A car present there was trapped under the debris.

RESCUE OPERATION REACHED THE VEHICLE TRAPPED UNDER DEBRIS

Upon notification, a large number of search and rescue and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the efforts, the mother, Çiğdem Kaya, was rescued from the rubble with injuries and taken to the hospital. With the support of heavy machinery, the rescue teams first reached the vehicle trapped under the debris. An examination of the vehicle revealed that the father, Adem Kaya (36), and his children, Açelya (5) and Alya Kaya (7), had lost their lives. The lifeless bodies were removed from the vehicle and sent to the Samsun Forensic Medicine Group Presidency.

In the footage recorded during the landslide disaster, where the father and his two children lost their lives, moments were captured when a large mound of earth and rock fragments fell onto the family's car.
