While search efforts continue for two young people who went missing after falling into the Kelkit River in the Erbaa district of Tokat, the last photo taken by their friend group on an electric bicycle shortly before the accident has emerged.

SEARCH EFFORTS CONTINUE
The incident occurred at the Park Vadi location in the district center. According to information obtained, 4 friends riding an electric bicycle fell into the Kelkit Stream after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. Among the youths swept away by the current, cousins Atakan K. and Furkan K. managed to swim to an island in the stream.
They were rescued by Erbaa Municipality fire brigade teams using a boat from their location. Search efforts initiated to find Ilker P. and Oguz K., who were swept away by the current, are ongoing.

While AFAD, fire brigade, health, and gendarmerie teams working in the region are conducting operations along the Kelkit Stream, it was reported that AFAD teams are scanning from the air with drones and searching the water surface with boats.
