AK Party Deputy Chairman in charge of Research and Development Mustafa Şen shared the latest survey results from last week, stating, "We are the leading party. We are seen at 37-38 percent." Şen also indicated that the second-place party in the survey had a vote share around 26-27 percent.
AK Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Şen answered journalists' questions at the Anatolian Talks program organized by the Turkish Press Federation. In response to a question about some public opinion poll results shared within the framework of the dual structure recently formed in the CHP, Şen said, “What happens on CHP island concerns the island's residents, not us. We mind our own business. We have been the first party since December 2024.”
“WE HAVE BEEN ON THE RISE SINCE 2024”
Speaking at the program, which was also attended by Haberler.com Ankara Representative Şerife Güzel, Şen stated that around October 2024, there was a period of 6-7 months where the party was second in polls. Mustafa Şen said, “We corrected that as of December 2024. Last week's figures are very clear. We appear around 37-38% in recent polls, in recent weeks. We have been on the rise since December 2024. That is not surprising for us. We are a party that has received 40-50%. What other parties do really does not concern us.”
“THE SECOND PARTY FOLLOWING US IS AT 26-27%”
Noting that the AK Party is continuously on the rise, Şen shared the standings of other parties as follows:
“The second party following us is around 26-27%. The third party hovers around 9-10%, and the next around 7-8%. I think this will continue like this for a while. Let me say clearly, some see themselves like hungry chickens in a grain bin. There is no such social or political structure where 'they get this much, they get that much.' We advise everyone to produce their own politics.”
“WE MEASURE THE TERROR-FREE TURKEY PROCESS EVERY MONTH”
To the question, “Have you conducted a Terror-Free Turkey survey?”, AK Party Deputy Chairman Şen replied, “We measure it continuously, every month, in a consecutive manner. From the beginning, it is about achieving the auspicious outcome that the nation expects from us. That will hopefully happen in this legislative term. The nation tells us, ‘finish this job.’ We have very serious work to handle, and that is why what happens on CHP island does not concern us. The people in the region have already bought peace and security. This job will be done. And our President, as both President and Commander-in-Chief, has a clear stance on this. This job will be done. The people clearly want it.”
“THE PARLIAMENT WILL DO WHAT IS NECESSARY IN THIS LEGISLATIVE TERM FOR THE LAW”
Regarding the legal regulation related to the Terror-Free Turkey process, Şen said, “It will reach a favorable conclusion in this legislative term,” and added, “I think the Parliament will come to a point where it does what is necessary. In return, the terrorist organization must also do what is necessary, of course.”
