The lawsuits filed for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held in 2023 and the 21st Extraordinary Congress held on April 6 have been consolidated.

Yesterday, the lawyer of the former Mayor of Hatay, Lütfü Savaş, Onur Yusuf Üregen, filed a lawsuit at the Ankara 41st Civil Court of First Instance on behalf of CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress delegates Hatip Karaarslan and Yılmaz Özkanat for the annulment of the 21st Extraordinary Congress of CHP held on April 6, 2025.
"IT IS NULL AND VOID FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END"
In a statement made on behalf of the plaintiffs, it was stated, "Processes such as the Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023, and the CHP Istanbul Provincial Congress have been overshadowed by monetary relationships, unlawful practices, and interventions that undermine democratic will. The decisions made at these congresses are null and void. The Extraordinary Congress on April 6, 2025, built upon this nullity is also null and void from the beginning to the end."
ANNULMENT LAWSUITS CONSOLIDATED
Finally, the lawsuit filed at the 41st Civil Court of First Instance for the annulment of the extraordinary congress was consolidated with the lawsuit filed at the 42nd Civil Court for the annulment of the Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023. Both cases will be heard on Monday, May 26.
REQUEST FOR ANNULMENT OF CHP'S 38TH ORDINARY CONGRESS
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had initiated an investigation regarding allegations of "vote buying for money" during the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress held on November 4-5, 2023. While the statements of the suspects are still being taken, former Hatay Mayor Lütfü Savaş and some delegates had also separately filed lawsuits in different courts for the annulment of the congress. The annulment lawsuits were consolidated in the file at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court. The first hearing of the case, which was held on April 17, was postponed to May 26.
