The leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, who heads the armed opposition groups that have taken control of Homs after Aleppo, Idlib, Tel Rifaat, and Hama, made striking statements. Jolani stated that the Assad regime is now dead and that they will establish an institutional government. "Currently, there are forces from the U.S., Turkey, Russia, and Iran in the country, as well as Iranian proxies. I believe that when this regime falls, there will be no need for any foreign power to remain in Syria," he said.
