The reason for the murder that occurred in Adana five days ago has been revealed. Musa D. set a trap on social media using his girlfriend to bring Mehmet Göküş, whom he held responsible for the deaths of his uncle and cousin, to Adana.

Four people involved in the murder of Mehmet Göküş (18), who was shot dead in the middle of the street in Adana, have been detained. It was determined that one of the suspects, Cansu S. (27), contacted Göküş via social media and lured him to the scene under the pretext of meeting, while her boyfriend Musa D. (31) and her uncle Serhat D. carried out the armed attack, and their friend Bilal T. (33) assisted them. The suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures, were arrested.

The incident occurred on December 7 at around 18:00 in 41005 Street, Emek Neighborhood, in the central Seyhan district. Mehmet Göküş, who was attacked by two people with a gun in the middle of the street, lost his life. Göküş's lifeless body was buried after the autopsy. The teams from the Homicide Bureau of the Adana Police Department determined that four people, including one woman, were involved in the incident as part of the investigation launched regarding the case.

"I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WOULD KILL HIM"

The teams determined that Göküş came to the city from Tarsus, Mersin, on the day of the incident to meet Cansu S. The police detained Cansu S. at her home in the same district and took her to the police station for questioning. In her statement, Cansu S. said, "There was a feud between my boyfriend Musa D. and Mehmet Göküş. Following my boyfriend's guidance, I contacted Göküş via social media and got to know him. Later, I called him to Adana under the pretext of meeting. After meeting Göküş, I informed my boyfriend via mobile phone. Shortly after, my boyfriend came to the scene with his uncle and friend, and they carried out the armed attack. I didn't know they would kill him. I thought they just wanted to talk."

THEY CHANGED THE LICENSE PLATE WHILE FLEEING

Based on the information obtained from Cansu S.'s statement, the teams determined that the suspects fled the scene in a light commercial vehicle. The teams, which launched a comprehensive operation to capture the suspects, examined the security camera footage along the route. It was determined that the suspects changed the license plate code of the vehicle they fled in from 33 to 38 using tape. The police identified Bilal T. as the owner of the vehicle and raided his house in Tarsus. Upon seeing the police, Bilal T. fled and hid in a nearby orange grove. The teams conducted a search in the area with a drone belonging to the Adana Police Department. Bilal T., whose hiding place in the grove was identified, was captured. The teams also arrested Musa D. and his uncle Serhat D., who were alleged to have carried out the armed attack, in a raid on the house where they were hiding in Tarsus.
