29-year-old Madina D. from Uzbekistan, living in Kağıthane, was assaulted in a taxi despite a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Muhammet Onur Mutkan (26), from whom she separated a year ago. The attacker, who was caught two days after the incident, was released from police custody by a prosecutor's decision. The moments when the attacker threatened the woman, saying "I will kill you if you don't let me in," and attacked her with a stone were captured on a mobile phone camera. The incident occurred around 00:00 yesterday in the Çeliktepe neighborhood. According to allegations, Madina D. met Muhammet Onur Mutkan in a friend group six years ago and they became a couple. She separated from Mutkan about a year ago, which he could not accept and became obsessed with. Over time, he threatened her by calling and texting from both his own and different numbers. While this process continued, Mutkan assaulted the woman at her home last month. The woman, who was hospitalized, reported to the police and obtained a mediation order, but Mutkan, who was detained, was released. ASSAULTED THE WOMAN IN HER HOME AND WAS RELEASEDAfter disappearing, Muhammet Onur Mutkan reappeared on Tuesday at around 17:45 when the woman called a taxi. Threatening with a knife, Mutkan severely beat the woman inside the taxi. When the woman fainted, the attacker fled, and the health teams who arrived at the scene upon the taxi driver's alert took her to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital. After receiving treatment and filing a complaint with the police, the woman was discharged. ASSAULTED WITH A KNIFE IN THE TAXI AND FLEDWhile the police were searching for the attacker, Muhammet Onur Mutkan appeared in front of the woman's door yesterday at around 20:00. The police teams, who came upon the woman's report, detained Mutkan and took him to the police station. After the woman filed another complaint, Mutkan was released by the duty prosecutor after his statement was taken and legal procedures were completed. SHOWED UP AT THE DOOR AS SOON AS HE WAS RELEASEDAs soon as he was released from the police station, at around 00:00, despite the restraining order, Mutkan came to the woman's door and said, "I will kill you if you don't let me in. You are setting me up, huh? I will show you. If you have any honor, you will call and they will come. Is this how you will make me give up?" He threw stones at the woman multiple times. A citizen who came to Mutkan's side reacted to him and left. The terrifying moments were captured second by second on the woman's mobile phone camera. The woman reported to the police via the KADES application, but Mutkan fled again. "WITH WHAT RIGHT ARE YOU BEATING ME MERCILESSLY?"Madina D., who recorded her experiences related to the incident, stated, "I don't know how a person can beat someone who is powerless like this repeatedly. I felt that my ribs were broken. I can't breathe. He beat me, but the court doesn't take him in. Nothing can be done. I am a 50-kilogram person, can I retaliate against you? With what right can you beat me mercilessly? My hair fell out in clumps. He beat me without mercy; I remember getting into the taxi. I sat in the taxi, and then he pulled my hair from behind. I remember him kicking the door open. I don't remember anything else," she expressed.
