THEY ATTACKED THE REFEREE
After the final whistle of the match played at Seydikemer Stadium, the officials of the home team and fans who entered the field approached the referees aggressively. Meanwhile, fans threw foreign objects onto the field from outside and also attacked the stands where the visiting Milas fans were located.
Security forces and Seydikemer football players intervened to protect the referees. The referees, who were heading towards the locker room between two players from the home team and security forces on the field, were assaulted with kicks and punches. One of the referees fell to the ground from a flying kick by a fan who entered the field.
As the referee trio entered the locker room, the fan's assault attempt continued, and foreign objects rained down on them. While the referees struggled to enter the locker room, tensions continued in front of the locker rooms. After the incidents, referee Tayfun Sarı and his assistants Alişan Küçükocak and Çağrı Furkan Uysal went to Seydikemer State Hospital to obtain a medical report and file a complaint.
Local journalist Zekeriya Şahin, who was assaulted by Seydikemer officials while trying to take footage in front of the locker rooms, also received a medical report at the same hospital. It was stated that 4 individuals who were detained after the incidents would be referred to the courthouse. The board of directors of the Muğla Metropolitan Journalists Association condemned the events and conveyed their best wishes to the referees and Zekeriya Şahin.
