Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu visited the family and grave of Infantry Lieutenant Ömer Fatih Ayar, who was martyred in the clash with members of the separatist terrorist organization in the Gara region in northern Iraq. HE WENT TO HIS HOMETOWN TRABZONImamoğlu, who came to Trabzon for the visit, told journalists at the airport that they were from the same family as Martyr Infantry Lieutenant Ayar. Imamoğlu stated that he came to Trabzon to offer condolences to the family because he could not attend the funeral ceremony and wished mercy from Allah for all martyrs. Imamoğlu then went to the Köprübaşı district and conveyed his condolences to the family of Martyr Ayar in a closed meeting with the press. Imamoğlu later visited the grave of Infantry Lieutenant Ömer Fatih Ayar with his father Ali Yılmaz Ayar, his brother Ahmet Yavuz Ayar, and others. After the recitation of the Quran and prayers, Imamoğlu left flowers on the martyr's grave. HE REVEALED HIS SON'S WILL, IMAMOĞLU BROKE INTO A COLD SWEATDuring the visit, father Ali Yılmaz Ayar revealed his son's will, saying, "My son did not want politicians to attend his funeral." Imamoğlu paused briefly in response to these words, and the father spoke again, saying, "My son said, 'He is your relative. If he comes, I can't say anything.'" Imamoğlu took a deep breath upon hearing these words.
