The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) shared the measures it has taken for New Year's Eve with the public. According to the statement made by IMM, teams have been assigned to provide uninterrupted service throughout the city on New Year's Eve, and necessary arrangements have been made for quick intervention to meet needs. ADDITIONAL SERVICES FOR METROBÜSTo accommodate the density on New Year's Eve, additional services have been planned for public transportation vehicles. IETT will continue its 64,000 trips on 832 different lines on December 31, and in addition to this, a total of 304 additional trips will be organized on 25 different lines on New Year's Eve. The metrobüs system, which provides uninterrupted service at night, will also have 221 additional trips. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WILL BE FREEPublic transportation services affiliated with IMM will be free for personalized Istanbulkart holders for 24 hours on January 1, just like on religious and national holidays and official holidays. METRO LINES WILL OPERATE 24 HOURSMetro Istanbul will operate the M1A Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport, M1B Yenikapı-Kirazlı, M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman, M3 Bakırköy-Kayaşehir, M4 Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Airport, M5 Üsküdar-Samandıra, M6 Levent-Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü, M7 Yıldız-Mahmutbey, M8 Bostancı-Parseller, and M9 Bahriye-Olympics lines for 24 hours. The T1 Kabataş-Bağcılar, T3 Kadıköy-Moda, T4 Topkapı-Mescidi Selam, T5 Eminönü-Alibeyköy tram lines, as well as the F1 Taksim-Kabataş and F4 Boğaziçi University/Hisarüstü-Aşiyan funicular lines will continue their services until 02:00 on January 1. CITY LINES WILL ORGANIZE ADDITIONAL SERVICESCity Lines will also organize additional services on December 31, New Year's Eve, according to passenger density. Additionally, to prevent violations of consumer rights, begging, unauthorized advertisements and promotions, illegal excavation dumping, and unlicensed activities, municipal police teams will operate in shifts on New Year's Eve.
