While concern quickly arose among users who shared the messages on their social media accounts, a statement was issued by the Ministry of National Defense regarding the issue.
"SENT AS PART OF A ROUTINE EXERCISE"
The Ministry of National Defense announced that the messages in question were sent as part of the Yıldırım Series Mobilization Exercise, which is held regularly every year.
In the ministry's statement, it was stated that the 2026 Yıldırım Series Mobilization Exercises will take place in September-October, and a total of 7,686 reserve personnel will participate in the exercises.
