The rains that started today are expected to continue until the middle of next week, while heavy rainfall is anticipated on Sunday in 65 provinces, including Istanbul and Ankara.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has published the weather forecast report for Friday, December 5. Due to the expected heavy rain and wind in the Aegean coast and the Eastern Mediterranean, a "yellow" and "orange" coded warning has been issued for 6 provinces. Rainfall is expected to spread across the country throughout the weekend.

It is predicted that the heavy rain will start today and continue until the middle of next week, with heavy rain expected in 65 provinces, including Istanbul and Ankara, on Sunday, December 7.

The rainfall is expected to be strong in the Western Mediterranean, along the coasts of İzmir and Aydın, and locally very strong and severe around Antalya and Muğla.
