DETAILS OF BIRTH ASSISTANCE
The date of the first payment for birth assistance, implemented by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, has been announced. Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced the date when the birth assistance, which varies according to the number of children, will be deposited into accounts. Under the assistance, a one-time payment of 5,000 TL will be given for the first child born as of January 1, 2025, 1,500 TL monthly for the second child, and 5,000 TL monthly for the third child.
WHEN WILL BIRTH ASSISTANCE BE PAID?
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced the date when birth assistance payments will be deposited into accounts. Minister Göktaş stated, "We will deposit the first payments under the Birth Support System into the accounts of mothers in May." Minister Göktaş announced that they received approximately 170,000 applications for birth assistance, which started to be accepted through e-Government as of April 8. Minister Göktaş stated, "The application rate for the first child is 43%. 73,317 families have applied for their first child. The rate for the second child is around 30%, and the number of applications is 51,128." he said.
Stating that the application rate for the third child is also 18% and that 29,879 families have applied, Minister Göktaş said, "The application rate for three or more children is around 9%. 15,597 families will benefit from this support for each child born this year. The most applications came from Istanbul, followed by Ankara and Şanlıurfa." he provided information.
HOW TO APPLY FOR BIRTH ASSISTANCE?
Applications for birth assistance are made through the e-Government system. Citizens who cannot apply through e-Government can receive support regarding applications from the Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services.
