The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of 'Imitation or Adulterated Foods' that pose a risk to public health. The new list includes six sausage producers, highlighting the names of companies that use offal and poultry meat in their sausages.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to expose food companies that have been found to produce in violation of regulations as a result of inspections conducted in 81 provinces. While updates are being made to the list of 'Imitation or Adulterated Foods' available on the Ministry's website, many sausage producers were among the recently added companies.

POULTRY MEAT USED

It has been determined that companies have been marketing products containing poultry meat under the label 'beef sausage', and the companies that have been added to the list are as follows:

• KISMETOĞLU BEYTİ MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS - HAYAL brand sausages produced by BEYTULLAH YEŞİLÇAYIR were found to contain poultry meat.
• SELCAN MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS LIVESTOCK FOOD INDUSTRY TRADE LIMITED COMPANY - YİĞİT BEY brand sausages produced by this company contained poultry meat.
• AFYON SAUSAGES BLACK MULBERRY SYRUP STAND - Sausages produced by MUSTAFA ŞEYHBALOĞLU were found to contain poultry meat.

• YÖRÜKOĞLU CHEESE WORLD - Sausages of the YÖRÜKOĞLU CHEESE WORLD brand produced by MUZAFFER KOCA were found to contain poultry meat.

• SALİH SAUSAGES MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS FOOD LIVESTOCK INDUSTRY AND TRADE LIMITED COMPANY - Sausages of the SALİH MEAT PRODUCTS brand produced by this company were found to contain mechanically separated poultry meat.
• ERTÜRK MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS FOOD AND FOOD ADDITIVES INDUSTRY TRADE LIMITED COMPANY - Sausages of the BAŞOĞUL brand produced by this company were found to contain mechanically separated poultry meat.
