HOLIDAY BONUS FOR RETIREES
The holiday bonus for retirees, which is paid twice a year during Ramadan and Eid al-Adha and is currently 3,000 lira, is expected to be increased to 4,000 lira. If the bonus is raised to 4,000 lira, a total of 8,000 lira will be paid to retirees for both holidays. The cost of this increase will be approximately 134.5 billion lira. It is expected that the regulation will be included in the 14-article omnibus proposal that will be announced today and submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
16 MILLION RETIREES WILL BENEFIT
Approximately 16 million retirees will benefit from the regulation. The bonuses that will be deposited into accounts before the holiday are expected to be paid by March 28.
TERRORISM-FREE TURKEY
In light of the recent call for disarmament from İmralı and the positive response from Kandil, the Cabinet will discuss how the terrorist organization will disarm and how the process will be managed.
STRAY DOG ISSUE
Following the tragic death of a 2-year-old child due to an attack by stray dogs in Konya, the responsibilities of local governments and the measures to be taken will be on the Cabinet's agenda.
PRICE CONTROL MEASURES
Reports to be presented by the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regarding the price control measures conducted in the market before the month of Ramadan will be evaluated.
FOREIGN POLICY
Foreign policy issues such as the conflicts in Syria, the ceasefire in Gaza, and Turkey's role in the Ukraine-Russia peace process will also be discussed at the meeting.
Additionally, it is expected that the draft of the 10th judicial package prepared by the Ministry of Justice will be one of the agenda items of the meeting.
After the meeting, President Erdoğan is expected to make statements.
