After 19 days of being missing in Diyarbakır, the lifeless body of 8-year-old Narin Güran was found, and the court announced its decision on Saturday, December 28.

COURT ANNOUNCED ITS DECISION

During the hearing, the detained defendants, mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran, were sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional murder of a child in complicity," while the detained defendant Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.

MINISTRY TOOK ACTION

The sentence given to the informant Nevzat Bahtiyar ignited a new debate, and the decision also prompted the Ministry of Family and Social Services to take action.

Today, Minister Göktaş, who made evaluations regarding the Narin Güran case, stated that they would appeal the 4 years and 6 months sentence given to Nevzat Bahtiyar.
