Three people applied to the land registry office in Çorum for a real estate auction. While the transactions were ongoing, the buyers became suspicious of the sellers and alerted the institution's personnel. Upon the notification made by the institution, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Smuggling and Organized Crime Division were dispatched to the Land Registry Office.
POLICE CONTACTED THE FAMILY
In the investigation, it was determined that the suspects had recently acquired the properties they were trying to sell using fake documents arranged in the name of Muharrem Yılmaz, who was registered in the population of Alaca district of Çorum and passed away 20 years ago. The police, who contacted the family, found that the family was unaware of the sale transaction.
THEY WERE DETAINED
As a result, Müslüm K., Selma D., and Ali Y. were detained by the police and taken to the Provincial Police Department. After their procedures at the police station, the three suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the judge.
